Dois Rios Beach (Two Rivers beach), is considered by many one of the most beautiful beaches of Ilha Grande, it has one river on each end of the beach, surrounded by stunning mountains and with fine white sand and clear turquoise sea.

The paradisiacal landscape and attractions along the way are more than enough reasons to hike to Dois Rios, but Dois Rios Village is much more than just a breathtaking beach, this Village has a past full of history, scene of numerous events from colonial times when it was a farm until most recently when it hosted for many years a high-security Federal Prison.

On the local today, we find the Museu do Carcere (prison museum) where is possible to learn the history of this famous prison and visit some permisses.

Dois Rios is with no doubt one of the must-see places in Ilha Grande
