The journey combines a speedboat crossing with private car transportation, offering two booking options for the boat segment: a shared speedboat or a private speedboat. The car segment is always private.
Travel time is usually 3–4 hours, depending on traffic and your final drop-off location in Paraty. Vehicles are air-conditioned for comfort.
Short stops for restroom or refreshments may be possible along the way, but availability is limited, so please inform the driver in advance if needed. Drivers may speak basic English but are experienced in assisting international travelers.

  • Shared speedboat: Ticket valid for the day, boarding on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure your seat and align with your scheduled car pick-up on the mainland, arrive 20 minutes before the reserved time, confirm at the pier’s Tourist Information Desk which line boards for Conceição de Jacareí, and proceed to the queue.
  • Private speedboat is not recommended in rough sea or rainy conditions. If sea conditions are unsafe, your transfer may be redirected to the shared speedboat option, and a partial refund will be issued.
  • Infant seats unavailable.
  • Not wheelchair or stroller accessible.
  • Luggage allowance: 1 medium suitcase + 1 carry-on per person. Excess/oversize luggage must be booked in advance (fees may apply).
  • In rare cases, operations may be routed via Angra dos Reis instead of Conceição de Jacareí; you will be informed in advance.
What to bring
    • Voucher – Shared speedboat only - issued up to 24h before your trip. Accepted in both digital (on your phone) or printed format. If using the digital version, make sure the file is already downloaded to your device before boarding.
    • Valid photo ID.
    • Light cover or rain jacket – the speedboat ride is fast and refreshing, but it can get cool and occasionally wet with rain or seawater spray. We recommend a light cover for comfort and a rain protector for your luggage/backpack.
